Tuscan Garden in the Heart of the Northwest

After a visit to Tuscany, a Seattle homeowner recognized the similarity of cool but mild winters and warm, dry summers between the two areas. She returned home to install a Tuscan-themed, Mediterranean style garden around her mid-century home with hilltop views of the distant lake and mountains beyond. In addition, her location backs to a golf course and so offers a borrowed landscape of rolling green hills without having to tend or irrigate them. Garden design by Sue Tong
