Seattle's Belltown neighborhood, just north of downtown, has seen an enormous building surge in high-rise condos (seen here in the background) during the past 4-8 years. The waterfront site of the Olympic Sculpture Park was owned by a developer and was slated for high-rise, waterfront condos as well, until the City, the Seattle Art Museum (SAM), and the developer worked out a complex deal to remake the site as a place for ourtdoor art.
