The large-leafed Palmata bamboo, Sasa palmata nebulosa, is a clump-forming, vigorous runner of a bamboo, and is best contained in a pot above ground. Its large, dramatic leaves may each reach 15" on culms, or stalks, up to eight feet tall. Palmata prefers partial to deep shade and is drought tolerant when established
