Aerial view looking north along the Seattle waterfront at the Olympic Sculpture Park. Elliott Bay is to the left and Elliott Avenue, a major thoroughfare, runs underneath the center of the park. The BNSF railroad train tracks that supply the Port of Seattle were another major obstacle to work around. More than 200,000 yards of fill were added to raise the site of the park above the existing thoroughfares.
